Falcon Polo helmets

The purpose of the helmet is to protect your head, by decreasing the amount of impact energy reaching the scalp, skull and brain. An impact energy reaching the brain may cause serious injury and the helmet is meant to prevent that. A Falcon Polo helmet is constructed in such way that the energy of impacts is managed through an outer shell and an inner protection.

On the inside, the exclusive XRD® Technology absorbs up to 90% of the most intense force hit after hit. This material offers the best repeated shock absorption of any high performance protection foam for extreme applications. A better fitting and more comfortable helmet is a better performing helmet. Falcon Polo ensures a snug but never oppressive fit and a comfort level that make your riding a pleasure.

The Falcon Polo helmet also preserves the pleasingly graceful classic design, and the sweatband is now interchangeable for an easier cleaning.

Backbone constructions

Balancing strength and stiffness

Falcon Polo helmet shells are handcrafted with two different materials: carbon fiber and fiberglass. Any thermoplastic composite is tough. Sometimes fiberglass is considered a tougher material because its ability to flex farther without breaking. But the incredible rigidity of carbon fiber makes it more capable of enduring certain abuses than fiberglass. We create shells with both materials reinforcing them according to our impact test results.

Basic differences:

Strength: both are very strong, but carbon fiber is stiffer than fiberglass.

Weight: carbon fiber is naturally lighter than fiberglass.

Cost: fiberglass is much easier and less expensive to manufacture than carbon fiber.
